About Carissa Jane
I’m Carissa Dwyer — founder and Creative Director of Carissa Jane, a creative studio based in Port Macquarie.
My background spans event management, retail marketing and visual merchandising. Over the years I’ve worked with brands, venues and organisations across the Mid North Coast to plan and deliver projects that combine creative styling with practical business outcomes.
Today my work focuses on creative direction, visual merchandising and styling for retail spaces, photoshoots, campaigns and events.
I work with local businesses to plan and style shop displays, prepare products and scenes for photoshoots, and coordinate the setup of events and brand activations.
For photography and content creation, this can include arranging products for flat lays, styling displays or scenes, and preparing spaces so everything is ready for the camera.
My role is to bring the visual elements of a project together — from developing the initial idea through to styling the final setup and coordinating suppliers where needed.
I also collaborate with a trusted network of local creatives, photographers and suppliers to help deliver projects smoothly and professionally.
My Approach
Every project begins with a conversation about what you would like to create. We talk through your ideas, your brand and the type of photoshoot, retail display or event you’re planning.
From there, I help shape a clear visual direction for the project. This may include styling concepts, planning displays, preparing products for photography or developing ideas for an event setup.
Depending on the project, I provide creative direction, styling support, visual merchandising or event coordination. I work closely with clients, photographers, venues and suppliers to make sure everything comes together smoothly.
The goal is always the same — to create a result that feels well planned, visually engaging and aligned with your brand.
